With no codes in play, the real choice is which discount route to take. On a laptop, the ASUS Education Program’s ceiling of ₹6,000 is double the ₹3,000 instant discount on notebooks, so a student or teacher should apply there first. Verification reportedly takes a few days, so it’s worth starting before you need the machine. ASUS doesn’t say whether the two combine, so assume they don’t until the cart shows otherwise. For gaming, the ROG deal is the bigger one: up to 50% off plus an extra ₹3,000. On a tighter budget, refurbished ASUS Select laptops start at ₹27,000 with up to 30% off and a 1-year warranty. That’s often more machine for the money than a new entry-level model. Keep the return terms in mind too. Sending back an unopened laptop costs 5%, which on a ₹60,000 machine is ₹3,000 and wipes out the whole notebook discount.
What the Asus India eShop sells
Laptops are the core: home, work, gaming, creator and student models, with the ROG gaming line and Zenbooks alongside the ExpertBook business range. The store also carries phones, gaming handhelds and tablets, desktops, all-in-ones, monitors, motherboards and components, networking gear, and accessories such as keyboards, mice, headsets and chargers.
Two less obvious things are worth knowing. ASUS Select certified refurbished laptops start at ₹27,000 and come with a 1-year warranty. International warranty extensions start from ₹99. Note that warranty extension packs can’t be returned once bought.
Buying from ASUS directly or from Amazon and Flipkart
ASUS laptops are also sold on Amazon and Flipkart, at Croma, Vijay Sales and Reliance Digital, and in around 200 exclusive ASUS and ROG stores across India. ASUS says its own eStore has online-exclusive offers you won’t find in retail stores, plus early access to new models. No source compares eShop prices with Amazon or Flipkart, so check both before buying a specific model.
The eShop’s own advantages are the programmes. The Education Program discount, the referral scheme (benefits up to ₹7,000) and the corporate Employee Purchase Program are all run through ASUS, not the marketplaces.
When ASUS runs its sales
The ASUS India offers page rotates monthly ‘Top Picks’ collections, and this autumn it’s running an End of Season Sale with up to 50% off laptops and accessories. Back-to-school deals run as a separate seasonal event, and ASUS says student discounts are part of those promotions.
ASUS has also taken part in Flipkart’s Big Billion Days. In one such sale, the ExpertBook P Series started at ₹33,990. So if you’re buying around a big festive sale, compare the eShop with the marketplace listing.
Shipping and returns
Shipping is free on every eShop order, with no minimum spend, and delivery covers all of India. ASUS says most products ship within 24 to 48 hours and arrive in 3 to 5 business days. Make sure someone can take the parcel. The courier tries twice within 3 days, and redelivery after that costs 2% of the product price or ₹500, whichever is higher.
Returns are tighter than the ‘7-days hassle free’ line suggests. The window is 7 days from the invoice date, and only unopened products qualify. You’ll also pay a 5% cancellation charge. Once the seal is broken, the item can’t be returned, and internal batteries and warranty packs are never refundable. Refunds take 7 to 21 working days to credit cards and 5 to 7 working days to debit cards and net banking.
Getting the discount at checkout
- If you’re a student, teacher or an employee of a partner company, register for the Education Program or the Employee Purchase Program first and log in with that account.
- Add the laptop or accessory to your cart from the offer page so the sale price carries through.
- Check the cart for the instant discount, and pick a No-Cost EMI plan of up to 12 months if you want to spread the cost.
- If a discount you expected isn’t showing, check that the model is actually in the offer, since ‘up to’ figures apply only to selected models. Also check that your programme verification has gone through, which third-party guides say can take about 3 days.
There’s no promo code box to worry about here. Every current offer applies on its own, so the job is making sure the right one is showing before you pay.
